One of the most emotionally devastating concerns I hear from my patients is from thinning hair and hair loss.To woman to woman, we understand that a woman is her hair crowning – and lose too much hair can be a serious and frightening blow to their self-esteem to be.
In response to such an extent on the physical condition of the hair may seem like vanity, but it is not. Your hair is one of the first areas to manifest with skin and nails, signs of hormonal imbalance, poor nutrition or illness. Understanding how hair regeneration, while for any changes in your hair and appearance are important parts of taking care of yourself.
The truth is, some degree of hair loss is normal, but show excessive hair loss and hair thinning, that something is wrong. Unfortunately downplay many conventional doctors hair loss as an inevitable part of aging for both sexes, treatment with topical products such as Rogaine, to improve the existing hair, but no real solution to offer for the causes of hair loss, and thus no prevention of further thinning of the hair. This leads many women – especially those going through menopause – to think that there is nothing they can do to stop their hair loss. The good news is that we have seen many cases resolve over time with a holistic approach.
Although we would not argue about the ultimate cure for hair loss (do not think that anyone who they say!) A strand of hair consists of extruded, compacted dead cells. It grows from living follicles in the skin of the scalp. On the shaft, or the root of the hair, all of your important systems in the workplace, including your circulatory, endocrine and nervous system. Why is it when someone pulls your hair hurts!
Each hair follicle has four different phases it goes through on a regular basis: growth or anagen phase, transitional or catagen, telogen, or resting, and the return of growth or mesanagen (see figure below). A complete cycle can be anywhere from two to five years per follicle. Unusual hair loss and thinning occur when a follicle in the telogen resting phase or bonded. Bald patches occur when a large group off of follicles in one place. Most of the time this happens slowly, but in some severe cases it can happen at once, which fall out of a pile of hair.
